Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Improv is a faster paced class, practicing the vinyasa method of one movement per breath. Postures are drawn from the Ashtanga Yoga Primary and Second Series, and variations and modifications of the postures are given. This style is appropriate for students who wish to not only get a good workout but also experience the traditional flow of a led Ashtanga class in a one-hour class format.

CARDIO FUNK

Cardio Funk is an easy to follow and exciting cardio dance fitness class. Workout to great hits from street style funk, party pop, and classic hip hop. Sweat to the beat in this fun class that will definitely get your body moving and grooving! No dance experience necessary.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha represents opposing energies: hot and cold (fire and water, following similar concept as yin-yang), male and female, positive and negative. Hatha yoga attempts to balance mind and body via physical postures or “asanas”, purification practices, controlled breathing, and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation. Asanas teach poise, balance and strength and are practiced to improve the body’s physical health and clear the mind in preparation for meditation. However if an individual has too much phlegm or fat then purification procedures are a necessity before undertaking pranayama.

POUND

class_logo_293x233_PoundPOUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses into a 45-minute series. Burn between 400 and 900+ calories per hour, strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music!

Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighted drumsticks, called Ripstix®, you’ll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds to music hits from rock, rap, dubstep, pop and old school tunes.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga will focus on gently stretching and healing the connective tissue through a series of holding postures. These postures never require strain or struggle, and are similar to versions of relaxation and stretching poses practiced in other yoga classes. Students focus on breathing naturally rather than on a guided, intentional breath pattern and leave class feeling relaxed yet energized.

Strength/Core

Strength/Core is a fitness class incorporating dumbbells and resistance bands to help you tone your body and strengthen your core.  This combo standing/mat class is for all fitness levels.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinayasa Yoga is ideal for anyone interested in the benefits of Yoga, this class will help you build strength, increase flexibility, and find focus.  It will teach you basic postures and principles that will help create a successful and effective yoga practice. This Vinyasa class (meaning breath linked to movement), will invigorate your entire body.  Modifications for ALL levels.

Sculpt

Sculpt is a core workout that will sculpt and tone the body combing traditional hatha yoga postures and mat pilates. This class will help increase flexibility and strength from the core out.  Modifications for ALL levels.

Zumba® Fitness

Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students.

Mat Pilates

Join us for this energizing Mat Pilates class and improve posture, strength and flexibility as you tone your whole body.  Learning to move from your strong center is as good for your mind as it is for your body.  Exercises can be modified so all participants progress safely and effectively in this class.
